Sutter County, CA- Fiery Truck Crash on Hwy 99 at Sankey Rd Causes Major Injuries

Sutter County, CA (March 29, 2019)- A multi-car accident near Sacramento International Airport on Highway 99 caused major injuries to at least one person on Friday morning.

The collision occurred around 7 am in Pleasant Grove at Sankey Road. The pile-up included a big rig dump truck, a white Ford pickup, a silver Chevrolet sedan, plus another pickup truck and dark sedan. Due to the accident, the big rig truck caught fire in a field.

The California Highway Patrol reported to the site, as did a helicopter and ambulances. The helicopter transported a burn victim to UC Davis Medical Center. Other victims received care at the site, with one person suffering from a minor head-injury brought to Sutter Roseville Medical Center.

According to the California Highway Patrol, major traffic delays occurred due to the accident.
