Sutter Creek, CA – Toddler Seriously Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Shake Ridge Road

Sutter Creek, CA (April 3, 2019) – Police reported that a 3-year-old child was injured in a pedestrian crash that took place on Shake Ridge Road yesterday afternoon.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident and found that the child had been hit by a car. The vehicle ran over the child’s chest and abdomen areas.

Fire department officials and other emergency crews were called to the scene, where they found the toddler with difficulty breathing after the impact. The patient had major injuries.

The 3-year-old was immediately transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment. Their condition is not known at this time.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
