Sylmar, CA- Pedestrian Seriously Injured By Semi on I-5 near the 210 Fwy

Sylmar, CA (May 21, 2019)- A crash involving a semi-truck left a pedestrian with major head injuries at approximately 5:50 am on Saturday.

The accident occurred west of the 210 Freeway interchange, northbound on the 5 Freeway. Reportedly, a male pedestrian moved in front of the semi-truck immediately before the crash. When medical personnel located the victim, he was found severely injured and lying in the freeway lanes.

The victim was taken to a local hospital. His current condition is unknown.

No charges have been made in the crash at this time. An investigation is underway.
