T-Bone Crash on Jamacha Road in El Cajon
According to the California Highway Patrol, one person at least was injured in a crash that occurred around 12:42 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, June 12. Paramedics had to be called in to assist those who were hurt in the two-car crash. After impact, both vehicles ended up blocking the intersection and stalling traffic. The California Highway Patrol is currently working on an investigation to determine who may have been at fault for the crash.
In an accident like this one that results in one injury between two cars, it can be very difficult to figure out who may have acted negligently during the crash. Currently, there is no word on the exact extent of injuries that resulted from the collision. Paramedics evaluated everyone involved in the crash at the scene, but it is not known whether injuries were minor, serious, or catastrophic. No matter what the extent of injuries may be, we wish all victims are able to have a timely recovery.
As the investigation goes on to determine negligence, it is crucial to understand that if the driver who was not injured is found to be at fault, they could be facing a multitude of lawsuits. Negligent drivers who cause injuries to other motorists can be held accountable for all of the economic losses suffered by the victim. These financial woes often stack up terribly high as medical expenses, future medical expenses, lost wages, and compensation for pain and suffering are all added together. Of course, it is solely up to the victim(s) to decide whether or not they want to take legal action and file a personal injury claim for compensation.
