Thermal, CA – Deadly Accident on Airport Blvd at Harrison St

Thermal, CA (June 28, 2019) – Reports confirm that a woman has died and three others have been injured in a fatal crash in Thermal. The accident happened early Friday on June 28th at around 5:34 a.m. at the intersection of Airport Blvd and Harrison St. 

The crash involved two vehicles, a pickup truck and a white sedan. The driver of the sedan told police she was falling asleep while operating the vehicle, which drifted into oncoming traffic, striking the truck. 

California Highway Patrol report that the driver of the pickup was ejected from the vehicle onto the roadway. She was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

Two other occupants of the truck were taken to Desert Regional Medical Center for medical treatment. The driver of the sedan was also taken to a local hospital due to sustained injuries.

Officials are currently investigating the crash.
