Thermal, CA – Jonan Lapena Tragically Killed in Fatal Car Accident at Van Buren St. and 62nd Ave.

Thermal, CA (January 21, 2019) – Police reported that 25-year-old Jonan Lapena was killed in a tragic and fatal car accident that took place on Saturday morning around 2:20 a.m. The accident took place on Van Buren Street and 62nd Avenue.

At the time, Lapena was driving into the intersection when his vehicle was struck by another vehicle. Firefighters and paramedics were immediately called to the scene, where they found that Lapena suffered from fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Paramedics evaluated others at the scene but determined that they were okay. At this time, police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
