Tulare, CA. 1 Woman Killed in Head-On Collision at Avenue 192 and Road 152

Tulare, CA. (July 1, 2018) – According to official reports, an elderly woman was tragically killed late Friday night following a head-on collision close to the intersection of Road 152 and Avenue 192 in Tulare. The fatal accident occurred at approximately 11:49 p.m. and involved an International 9100 truck and a silver 2017 Nissan sedan.

Reportedly, a witness to the accident had told California Highway Patrol officials that the Nissan was traveling south on Road 152 when it swerved into the oncoming northbound lane. The Nissan was apparently driving at around 60 mph before it crashed head-on into the large truck that was reportedly moving at approximately 35 mph.

The 74-year-old woman who was operating the Nissan suffered serious and fatal injuries during the crash as she was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released in order to notify family members first. The truck driver was reportedly unharmed in the collision. The accident is currently under investigation in order to conclusively determine liability.
