Tuolumne County, CA – One Killed and Others Injured in Car Accident on Highway 120

Tuolumne County, CA (February 1, 2019) – One person was killed and two others were injured in a car accident that took place on Highway 120 on Thursday evening. Police responded to the accident around 6:15 p.m.

Police reported that two vehicles collided with one another at the time of the accident in the area of Chinese Camp. The three vehicles were identified as a sedan, Toyota Prius, and a Ford SUV. The two collided at the intersection of Highway 120 and Sims Road.

The Ford and Toyota received a variety of severe front-end damages due to the accident. Fire Department and paramedics officials were sent out to the scene and found that two people had to be extricated from the wreckage due to being pinned inside their vehicles.

Those who were injured were transported to the hospital and another suffered major injuries but tragically passed away at the scene of the accident. The names of all of those involved have not yet been released. At this time, police continue their investigation.
