Twin Bridges, CA. Major Crash Between SUV and Minivan on US 50 Lincoln Highway

Twin Bridges, CA. (July 2, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a serious crash between two vehicles on the US 50 Lincoln Highway Monday afternoon. The crash took place between an SUV and a minivan in the westbound lanes of the highway at approximately 12:52 p.m. near Twin Bridges.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision involved a gray Toyota Sienna minivan and a green Chevrolet Suburban SUV. Both vehicles collided in a head-on crash on the highway for reasons that may be currently unknown. Two of the injured victims had to be immediately airlifted to hospitals for treatment of very serious but unspecified injuries. One other victim was reportedly rushed to Marchalls by ground ambulance with also unspecified injuries. A SigAlert had to be issued, and both of the vehicles involved sustained very significant front-end damage.

Exactly who was at fault for this major collision is unknown at this time. A detailed investigation is currently ongoing in an effort to determine the events that led to the crash and who may be held liable.
