Two-Vehicle Crash at San Miguel Canyon and Echo Valley Roads in Prunedale Leaves One Injured

Prunedale, California (June 21, 2018) – California Highway Patrol reports indicate one persona was injured during an accident involving two vehicles at the meeting of San Miguel Canyon and Echo Valley Roads. The incident took place at around 11:10 AM on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Authorities have not yet revealed the identities of the drivers or possible passengers and the exact cause of the accident.

According to the report, the accident occurred when a white GMC pickup truck collided with a vehicle of an as-of-yet-undisclosed model and year. After arriving on the scene, firefighters extracted an unresponsive victim from the wreckage, and additional responders removed the vehicles from the roadway.

One individual received traumatic injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.  This person’s current condition has not been disclosed, and it is unknown if this is the same individual who was extracted from one of the vehicles earlier.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the collision between the GMC and unnamed vehicle. Further investigations will provide more insight into root factors. Reports revealed there is no traffic light at the intersection, but drivers passing through San Miguel would automatically have the right of way over drivers traveling across Echo Valley.
