Two Vehicles Collide on Avenue 12
(June 14, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a crash between two vehicles this morning around 9:50 a.m. that resulted in at least one injury. The accident occurred on Avenue 12 and Highway 41 where the injured victim was pinned inside their vehicle after the impact. California Highway Patrol initially thought that one person had died in the crash as they called for the coroner to come to the scene. However, they ended up reclassifying the crash as resulting in minor injuries.
The two cars involved in the collision were a 2016 Subaru Forester and a 2009 Honda Civic 4-door sedan. The Honda appeared to have suffered less damage as the airbags were deployed inside the Subaru which also sustained serious damage to its front-end. Police are currently engaged in an investigation in order to determine the exact cause of the crash and who may have been at fault.
Car Accident Attorney
There is never anything enjoyable about being involved in a car accident, most of which result in terrible property damage, injuries, or worse. Even after an accident that leaves the victim feeling as though they have only suffered minor injuries, the importance of immediate medical attention cannot be overstated. There are often injuries sustained in accidents that can go unnoticed for a period of time before creating serious problems in the future. In any event, we are thankful that there were no catastrophic injuries or fatalities in this accident, although we still extend our sincerest wishes of well-being to the victim.
As the investigation continues and liability unfolds, the victim might find grounds for a strong personal injury case. Investigators will determine if the other driver was acting negligently behind the wheel, and if so, the victim may be able to take legal action if they wish. Many people look into filing a claim for compensation as even minor injuries can result in high hospital bills and lost wages.
