Two Women Injured After Pedestrian Accident in Carpinteria, CA

Stacielynn Sandrini Injures 2 in Pedestrian Accident

Carpinteria, California (June 19, 2018) – Two women received severe to minor injuries as a result of a pedestrian accident on Sunday, June 17, 2018. The accident took place at the intersection of Linden Avenue and 9th Street in Carpinteria, California. Initial reports have identified the female victims as 91 and 50 years of age, but their names have not yet been disclosed to the public. However, sources have identified the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident as 50-year old Bakersfield resident Stacielynn Sandrini.

First responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after the accident and administered care to the victims involved. The two pedestrians received initial care at the scene and were later transported to Barbara Cottage Hospital to receive further treatment for their injuries. Initial reports have stated that their injuries range from moderate to severe but that they are not life-threatening.

Upon investigation by police at the scene, investigators became suspicious that Sandrini may have consumed alcoholic drinks before driving and that her inebriated state may have contributed to causing the collision. Police officers proceeded to arrest Sandrini on drunk driving charges as well as for harming pedestrians. She has since been interred at the Santa Barbara County Jail. At present, the court has set her bail at $100,000.
