Carpinteria, CA – UPDATE: Martha Ramos Quintana Killed in Head-On Crash on Carpinteria Ave

Carpinteria, CA (April 22, 2019) On the morning of April 20^th, a fatal head-on crash happened at the intersection of Carpinteria Avenue and Bailard Avenue. The reports state that a white Nissan NV2000 was driving down Carpinteria Avenue when it crossed into the lane of an oncoming silver Toyota Sienna. The fatal collision occurred at approximately 6:36 a.m.

When emergency workers made it to the intersection, they found six people injured as a result of the accident. The driver and passenger in the Nissan were injured and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver and three passengers in the Toyota were also injured and were also transported to hospitals for evaluation and treatment.

Unfortunately, the passenger in the Nissan, 54-year-old Martha Ramos Quintana, lost her life in the collision despite life-saving attempts by medical professionals.

The police are still investigating this crash to figure out why the Nissan veered into the opposite lane.
