Chico, CA – UPDATE: Virgil Santos Killed in Fatal Collision on East Avenue

Chico, CA (April 16, 2019) – On the 13th of April, a fatal collision happened on East Avenue and Marigold Avenue. According to the reports, three vehicles crashed into each other for unspecified reasons at about 5:50 p.m.

When the ambulance arrived, they found three people suffering from injuries and took them to nearby hospitals for further help. One of the injured victims has been identified as 64-year-old Virgil Santos, and unfortunately, he did not survive his injuries despite immediate medical attention.

Investigators are still figuring out what led up to the collision, but so far, they’ve uncovered that at least one of the vehicles was speeding.
