UPDATE: Folsom, CA – Randi Woods Killed in Two-Car Collision in Folsom-Auburn Rd
Folsom, CA (June 10, 2019) On the morning of June 7th, a two-car collision happened at the intersection of Folsom-Auburn Road and Hillswood Drive. A BMW sedan was headed southbound on Folsom-Auburn Road when a Ford Escape struck it as it made a left turn onto Hillswood Drive. The accident happened at 10:45 a.m.
When the paramedics arrived, they found a man suffering from critical injuries. Unfortunately, he died at the scene despite life-saving measures. He has been identified as 77-year-old Randi Woods. The driver of the BMW sustained moderate injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ford also sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
Crews shut down all of the northbound lanes between Greenback Lane to Oak Avenue as they cleared the accident and investigated.
