UPDATE: San Bernardino, CA – Dereck Alexander Identified as Victim in Fatal Bicycle Accident on Sterling Avenue

San Bernardino, CA (January 22, 2019) On the night of January 21^st, a 53-year-old bicyclist named Dereck Alexander died when a vehicle struck him on Sterling Avenue. According to the reports, the accident happened at approximately 8:33 p.m. and officials pronounced Alexander dead at 8:36 p.m. when they arrived at the scene to help.

As of now, the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department and the Highland Station Major Accident Investigation Team are investigating this accident to determine causation and liability.
