UPDATE: San Francisco, CA – Syed Waseem Ali and Sela Henriquez Araujo Killed in Accident on Third St

San Francisco, CA (June 25, 2019) On the 23^rd of June, a fatal hit-and-run accident happened at the intersection of Third Street and Paul Avenue. A man named Syed Waseem Ali was driving a Toyota as a Lyft driver when a silver Mercedes-Benz struck him after speeding through a red light. The accident took place at approximately 1:15 a.m.

When an ambulance arrived at the scene, they found Ali dead in his vehicle. He was driving a passenger named Sela Henriquez Araujo, who was also found dead at the scene. Two passengers inside of the Mercedes sustained injuries and were rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment.

Unfortunately, the driver of the Mercedes fled the scene on foot. The police are still searching for the driver responsible.
