Head-On Collisions in California
Unfortunately, studies show that most head-on accidents happen over-night and the leading cause is drunk driving. It’s easier for drunk drivers to end up in the wrong lanes because their vision is blurred, their judgement is incomplete, their reaction times are delayed, and their hand-eye coordination slows down. Therefore, it may be too late before they realize they’re driving in the wrong lanes, especially when hardly any vehicles are on the highway past midnight. Head-on collisions almost always result in serious damages because the impact is twice as strong as a regular accident.
The police are currently investigating this accident to determine if any drugs or alcohol were involved. Once they get to the bottom of what led this accident, it’s likely that wrongful death and personal injury lawsuits will be filed with the help of a California attorney.
