UPDATE: Walnut Creek, CA – Richard Adeokun Killed in Fatal Two-Car Collision on I-680

Walnut Creek, CA (May 29, 2019) On the morning of May 27^th, a fatal two-car collision occurred on Interstate 680 Freeway, not far from the North Main Street offramp. A 63-year-old man named Richard Adeokun was operating a 1974 Porsche on the freeway when he somehow collided with a black Jeep SUV.

When the ambulance arrived at the scene to help, they found Adeokun critically injured and rushed him to John Muir Medical Center for immediate medical assistance. Unfortunately, he died at the hospital despite life-saving attempts by medical professionals. Two occupants in the Jeep also sustained injuries and were all taken to hospitals as well.

The police are still investigating, but they do not believe drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
