Motorcycle Helmets in California
According to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, 309 motorcyclists’ lives were saved in 2016 due to the use of helmets. The California Vehicle Code Section 27803 makes it illegal for motorcyclists to ride without helmets.
Motorcyclists are always vulnerable on the road. Helmets add extra protection against serious injury in an accident. However, they cannot protect a motorcyclist from an accident caused by another driver.
Motorcyclists may be left with fatal injuries in an accident despite the use of helmets. If you’ve lost a loved one in a motorcycle accident, contact the Brady Law Group.
