Given the circumstances, certain issues surrounding the accident on the 80 Freeway remain unresolved. As the investigation continues, forensic teams will inspect the pickup truck and both sedans and examine photos of the crash site to determine if mechanical issues or system failure contributed to the crash in any way. Likewise, officials will consider if drugs, alcohol, negligence, recklessness, or distracted driving played any role in the events leading up to the accident.
