Vacaville, CA- Police Officer Involved in Accident on Ulatis Dr. Near Christine Dr.

Vacaville, CA (April 9, 2019)- Ulatis Drive near Christine Drive was the scene of a recent accident involving a police officer. The head-on collision occurred at around 4 pm on Thursday afternoon and resulted in serious injuries for two people.

The Vacaville Police Department reported that a pet grooming van was turning onto the westbound lane when a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 24-year-old lieutenant with the Fairfield Police Department hit it.

The force of the crash overturned the grooming van. Its 36-year-old driver received fractured ribs and a fractured ankle. The driver of the Jeep received fractures to the shoulder, elbow, arm, and leg. Their current statuses have not been reported.

According to witnesses, the Jeep driver was driving erratically at the time he moved into the opposing lane and hit the grooming van. However, this statement has not yet been verified. An investigation into the crash is underway.
