Vacaville, CA – Richard Sauerwein Loses His Life in a Hit and Run Accident on East Monte Vista Avenue

Vacaville, CA (November 3, 2018) – According to authorities 22-year-old Miguel Gabriel-Ramirez is the suspect in a hit-and-run accident that left a motorcyclist dead. The deadly accident transpired at approximately 7:30 pm on October 30th on East Monte Vista Avenue.

Officials confirmed 61-year-old Richard Sauerwein, was riding his motorbike when he collided with an SUV. The driver identified as Miguel Gabriel-Ramirez fled the scene after the accident. First responders discovered that Sauerwein was ejected from the bike and paramedics attempted to revive the motorcyclist but sadly he lost his life and succumbed to his injuries. On Wednesday, around noon, police located a vehicle that matched the description of the one involved in the accident. The driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run resulting in death.

As of now, this accident is under investigation.
