Vallejo, CA – Officers Hospitalized After Three-Vehicle Crash on Tuolumne Street

Vallejo, CA (February 16, 2019) – Four people were hospitalized, two of which were police officers, following a three-vehicle crash that took place on Tuolumne Street on Friday morning around 9:00 a.m.

The accident took place in the 700 block of Tuolumne Street, near Maxwell Alley. At the time, a police cruiser with two officers was responding to a 911 call and traveling northbound. Suddenly, a Mini Cooper merged and collided with the police cruiser.

The impact was so forceful, the cruiser spun into the southbound lane and struck a Chevy Cruze. The two officers, as well as both of the drivers of the other vehicles, were hospitalized with a variety of injuries but are expected to be okay.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing at this time.
