Ventura, CA- 1 Hospitalized After Crash on Hwy 101 Near Padre Juan Canyon Rd

Ventura, CA (May 16, 2019)- According to the California Highway Patrol, an accident on Wednesday on Highway 101 near Padre Juan Canyon Road injured at least one person.

The crash happened at approximately 9:21 pm when a white Chevrolet pickup truck rear-ended a Ford Ranger for reasons unknown. The impact of the crash caused the pickup truck to overturn.

Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene to provide treatment. The Ford’s driver reportedly hit his head during the collision, while the Chevrolet’s driver injured their legs.

At least one person was taken to the hospital for additional treatment.

Tow trucks were called to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
