Ventura, CA – Police Officer Injured after Pursuit and Crash near Kimball Road and Thille Street

Ventura, California (July 10, 2018) – Ventura local news sources reported that a traffic accident involving a police officer took place in the area of Kimball Road and Thille Street. The incident occurred at some time after 10:15 PM at night on July 5, 2018. Authorities have not revealed any detailed information concerning the identities of the police officer and other people involved in the accident at this time.

As per the reports, a police officer received a report of a local shooting and drove to the location, police lights flashing and siren blaring. At one point, the officer reached the intersection of Kimball and Thille when, without warning, an oncoming car attempted to make a right turn. In an attempt to avoid the vehicle, the police officer crashed into a nearby utility pole and street signal. Afterward, the officer was transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Law enforcement and medical personnel did not affirm if the second driver was injured.
