Victorville, CA. 1 Pedestrian Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on 7th Street
Victorville, CA. (July 8, 2018) – One pedestrian was reportedly struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on 7th Street Friday night in Victorville, according to a local and reliable news source. The accident apparently occurred at around 9:00 p.m. near East Sage Street in the 14300 block of 7th Street. The Victorville Sheriff’s Station stated that the man who was hit by at least one vehicle was reportedly in his 60’s.
Paramedics were immediately called to the scene and they arrived to find the victim lying down in the road, suffering from what appeared to be life-threatening injuries. The man was quickly transported to Victor Valley Medical Center for treatment but, unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead. The victims’ name has not yet been released.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the man reportedly fled the scene and did not stop to assist the victim or cooperate with authorities. Police are presently searching for an older model Jeep as well as a sedan which is suspected to have been involved as well. The vehicle in question will likely have severe damage to the front-end and a missing side view mirror.
