Victorville, CA – Man Injured after Two-Vehicle Collision at McDonald’s on Mariposa Road

Victorville, CA (August 13, 2018) – A local news source reported that man sustained injuries as the result of a two-vehicle collision that took place in a McDonald’s parking lot in the 12100 block of Mariposa Road. The incident transpired at approximately 12:38 AM in the early morning hours on Monday, August 12, 2018. At this time, no detailed information about the male victim or the female suspect involved in the crash has been revealed.

According to initial reports, a silver 2007 Honda Accord plowed into the rear end of an unidentified second car parked at the McDonald’s on Mariposa. Afterward, the man left the vehicle when, without warning, the female driver slammed the Accord into him. Authorities speculated the woman may have intentionally crashed into the victim.

Officials confirmed the male driver sustained traumatic injuries to his head. At some point, medical personnel set the victim on a gurney during treatment on site. However, the man refused assistance and opted to drive to a nearby hospital. The current physical condition of the man was not immediately revealed.

Simultaneously, law enforcement officials confirmed the female suspect fled the crash site drove southbound on Mariposa. Sometime later, officers found her trapped beneath a tractor-trailer near the scene of the collision. After extracting the motorist, emergency crews brought her to Desert Valley Hospital before transporting her to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

No details about the truck driver have been disclosed.

Presently, the investigation is ongoing.

By law, motorists are required to stay at the crash site and cooperate with authorities. Fleeing the scene of an accident is considered a cowardly, criminal act that can result in severe punishment. As indicated by the report, the female driver of the Accord will be held accountable for causing the crash and inflicting traumatic injuries on the male driver.
