Motorcycle Accidents in California
Every year in the United States, over 5,000 people lose their lives in motorcycle accidents. Because the only protective shield motorcyclists wear is their helmets, it’s easy for the to get injured by other vehicles. The reason motorcycle accident rates are so high is because drivers aren’t always looking out for motorcyclists. Instead of focusing on the road, many drivers text on their cell phones, eat, converse with passengers, drive under the influence, or fall asleep at the wheel. Other common causes of motorcycle accidents include defective products, and road and weather conditions.
Since the motorcyclist in this accident is suffering injuries, a personal injury lawsuit could be filed with the help of an experienced attorney. If the police report indicates that the other driver partook in negligent behavior, then the motorcyclist can receive compensation for current and future medical expenses, loss of earnings, pain and suffering, and more.
