Victorville, CA – Victim of Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on 7th Street Identified as Steven Archuleta
Victorville, CA. (July 11, 2018) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in the vicinity of 7th Street and East Sage Street on Friday, July 6, according to a local and reliable news source. That victim has now been identified by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department as 64-year-old Steven Russell Archuleta of Victorville.
The collision that took place last Friday night occurred when Archuleta was walking across the street and was reportedly struck by a vehicle that was traveling north. According to reports, Archuleta flipped over the car after the impact and landed in the center of the street. The motorist who hit the man did not stop to offer any assistance to the victim or cooperate with authorities but fled the scene instead.
The vehicle the suspect was driving was reported as a silver and black 2005 Ford Taurus that may have suffered damage to the front-end, as well as a missing side mirror. Police are still searching for the suspect, and they are urging anyone with any information to come forward. The investigation into this accident is presently ongoing.
