Vina, CA – Major Injury Accident on Highway 99 at South Avenue
Vina, CA – (December 13, 2018) —The California Highway Patrol is investigating a major injury collision that took place Thursday morning on Highway 99 and South Avenue. The accident was reported at approximately 7:50 am on December 13th.
Reportedly, several vehicles including a semi-tractor trailer truck, a silver or gold Honda Accord and a red vehicle, where traveling near the Tehama County Fire Department’s station when for unknown reasons they violently collided into one another. Sometime later, emergency personnel rushed to the crash site and paramedics used an ambulance to transport at least two people to Enloe Medical Center in Chico. The extent of the injuries was not immediately established. Police shut down the highway at South Avenue and at Rowles Road to conduct an on-scene investigation.
As of now, this accident is under investigation.
