California Drunk Driving Victims
Each year, there are more than 30,000 Californians who are seriously injured in alcohol and drug-related auto accidents. More than 2,000 are fatalities.
People who get behind the wheel drunk are much more likely to cause accidents. Their reaction times are slowed and judgment is impaired. For this reason, drunk driving accidents are often much more serious and cause harsher injuries.
In addition to bringing forth criminal charges, victims of drunk driving accidents and their families can pursue claims in civil court to recover damages. If a drunk driver is arrested for, or convicted of, DUI or DWI in California, you have the right to be able to file a civil claim immediately.
