California’s Big Rig Fatalities
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration stated that in 2017, 361 people died in crashes with big rigs and similarly sized trucks in California. Crashes between cars and large trucks are especially troubling because the size and weight difference in these vehicles virtually guarantee that people in the smaller vehicle will experience injuries or death.
