Westminster, CA – Two Dead and Four Injured Following Collision on 405 Freeway

Westminster, CA (August 11, 2018) – According to a local news source in Orange County, two people were tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident that also injured four others early Saturday morning on the Interstate 405 Freeway. The fatal crash which was reported to have occurred between several vehicles including a tractor-trailer took place at approximately 4:00 a.m.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident was triggered by a black Honda that was traveling at a high speed. The Honda was allegedly speeding down the interstate near the Beach Boulevard off-ramp just before the collision. One of the vehicles which were reported to have been involved in the crash was found on the right shoulder of the interstate in a ditch. One other vehicle had caught on fire as a result of the impact.

Officials from the Orange County Fire Authority along with paramedics arrived on the scene where they sadly pronounced two people dead. Additionally, four more people sustained injuries during the wreck, including two who were critically wounded. The two majorly injured individuals, one of which was the driver of the Honda who may have caused the accident, were immediately taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange. The other two victims were promptly transported to a local hospital with relatively minor injuries.

No more information has been released at this time, and the names of the deceased and the injured were not made available. Investigators are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
