Willits, CA – Ramon Machado Injured in Fatal Head-On Car Accident on Highway 101

Willits, CA (January 20, 2019) On the 18th of January, a fatal head-on car accident happened on Highway 101 near Reynolds Highway at around 4:40 p.m. According to the reports, a 2001 Dodge Ram Pickup truck veered into the southbound lanes and crashed head-on into a Mercedes Sprinter van.

When the paramedics arrived to help, the 51-year-old man who drove the van had already suffered fatal injuries. They found the pickup driver, 71-year-old Ramon Machado, suffering from major injuries and transported him to Howard Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The accident is currently under investigation.
