Willits, Mendocino County, CA – Traffic Accident Involving Two Vehicles Occurs on Highway 101
Willits, Mendocino County, CA (July 25, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that a traffic accident involving two vehicles occurred at 6813 Highway 101 (Redwood Highway) in the vicinity of Vincent Lane. The incident happened around 12:25 PM in the afternoon on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the people involved in the crash has been revealed.
According to the initial CHP report, a silver Honda Element SUV and a black Dodge Ram 3500 pulling a trailer were traveling down Highway 101 when, for indeterminate reasons, the two vehicles collided. Afterward, emergency teams were dispatched to the crash site and provided medical assistance to one victim who suffered non-life threatening injuries during the impact. The current condition of this person has not been disclosed.
CHP revealed that two children had been passengers in the Honda at the time of the accident. As a result of the crash, the SUV received severe damage to its front-end.
A little before 12:50 PM, cleanup crews removed wreckage and debris from the roadway.
