Woman Dies From Pedestrian Accident In Long Beach, CA
Pedestrian Accident on Wardlow Road and Magnolia Avenue Kills 1
Long Beach, California (June 19, 2018) – A woman died as a result of a pedestrian accident that took place in the Long Beach Area on Monday, June 18, 2018, at approximately 9:00 PM. The accident occurred at the intersection of Wardlow Road and Magnolia Avenue. At the time of posting, authorities have not yet disclosed the name pedestrian victim and have only identified her as a 70-year old woman. At present, the identity of the driver has also not been revealed.
The Long Beach Police Department stated that the 70-year old woman was walking near the intersection before being struck by an oncoming vehicle. Paramedics arrived at the scene and quickly determined that her injuries required further treatment. After being transported to a nearby hospital, doctors labeled her condition as severe and life-threatening. Despite the best attempts of medical professionals, she succumbed to her injuries and passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018.
Long Beach Police have also revealed that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the collision and has completely complied with investigators throughout their investigation.
