Woodland, CA – CHP Officer Saves Driver From Burning Truck in CA-99 Crash
Woodland, CA (March 31, 2019) – Multiple cars were involved in a crash and a pickup truck had burst into flames on Highway 99 near Pleasant Grove on Friday morning.
California Highway Patrol Officer Guillermo Hernandez was coming home from work when he saw the accident involving a truck on the side of the road. The truck was fully engulfed in flames. Hernandez and some other first responders came to assist any involved parties and mitigate the situation with a fire extinguisher.
The driver, who was trapped on the driver side of his truck, was able to make his way to the passenger seat and was able to get out of the vehicle. The driver was then taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
