Yucaipa, CA – Motorcycle Accident on California Street Injures Timothy Works

Yucaipa, CA (January 20, 2019) – Police reported that one person was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident that took place at the intersection of California Street and Eureka Avenue.

The accident took place on Tuesday evening, and the motorcyclist has since been identified as Timothy Works. Works had been driving a red Yamaha motorcycle at the time when he was suddenly struck by a white Toyota near the intersection.

Works was immediately thrown from his motorcycle after he made impact with the other vehicle. He was then left in the roadway, where he was struck by another vehicle.

Deputies found Works with multiple broken bones and internal injuries when he was discovered at the scene. He was taken to the hospital where it was confirmed that he is expected to survive.

The driver of the Toyota that struck him was identified as 41-year-old Armando Gutierrez Ramirez, who has since been arrested for hit-and-run. The operator of the second vehicle stopped and cooperated with authorities, telling them that he didn’t see Works off of his motorcycle and in the middle of the road due to heavy rain.
