Yucca Valley, CA – Brandon Bahner Injured In Big Rig Crash on CA-62

Yucca Valley, CA (June 1, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident involving a big rig occurred on May 30th at about 5:45 p.m.

Brandon Bahner, 27, of Yucca Valley was traveling eastbound on Highway 62 when he crossed the center line into westbound lanes near Trojan Lane and struck a tractor-trailer driven by Julian Orellana-Mendoza, 31, of Fresno.

Orellana-Mendoza, over-corrected, and the big rig came to a stop on the opposite curb. Bahner’s Toyota spun from the reaction to the crash and ended up in the westbound lanes.

Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid. Brandon Bahner was transported to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs for treatment and further evaluation. Julian Orellana-Mendoza was uninjured.

Roadways were closed pending investigations, but are now reopened.
