Yucca Valley, CA – Sharon Meler Killed and 3 Injured in Fatal Collision on Old Woman Springs Rd

Yucca Valley, CA (May 28, 2019) On the 27^th of May, a fatal vehicle collision happened on Old Woman  Springs Road and Terra Vista Road. A Ford F-150 truck was traveling north on Old Woman Springs Road when it rear-ended a Subaru Impreza as it was stopped at a red light waiting to turn at the intersection. The impact of the crash caused the Subaru to collide into a white Cadillac CTS. The major accident happened at around 3:10 p.m.

When emergency responders arrived, they found multiple people suffering from injuries. The driver of the Subaru, 84-year-old Sharon Meler, and three occupants in the Cadillac were critically injured. The driver of the Cadillac had to be extricated using the Jaws of Life. All four of them were transported to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment. Sadly, Meler succumbed to her injuries at the hospital at around 5:25 p.m.

Authorities are still investigating to determine causation and liability.
