Pittsburg, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Fatal Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Leland Road

Pittsburg, CA (March 20, 2019) On the morning of March 20^th, a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened on Leland Road at around 1:25 a.m. According to the reports, a vehicle struck a man and proceeded to drive off without checking to see if he was alright.

The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District found the pedestrian gravely injured as they were returning to their station. Unfortunately, he had already succumbed to his injuries before they could call for medical assistance.

The police are currently investigating this accident to determine who was responsible for striking and killing this man. There is believed to be video surveillance cameras that may have captured the crash.
