Spring Valley, CA – Woman Seriously Injured After Being Struck By SUV on Jamacha Blvd
Spring Valley, CA (March 23, 2019) – A 49-year-old woman was grievously hurt when she was hit by an SUV when trying to cross a street in the La Presa neighborhood north of Sweetwater Reservoir.
The collision occurred around 8:20 p.m. on Thursday, March 21st, in the intersection of Jamacha Boulevard and Grand Avenue.
The driver of the automobile was a 68-year-old man. He was driving a Ford Escape eastbound on Jamacha Boulevard west of Grand Avenue when he struck the woman with his SUV. California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this pedestrian accident.
Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid to the injured woman. The victim was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego. She suffered major injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
The SUV driver stayed at the scene and cooperated fully with CHP.
