San Francisco, CA – Commercial Vehicle Causes Major Injuries in Crash at 2nd and Bryant
San Francisco, CA (March 28, 2019) – A woman suffered major injuries after being hit by a truck while crossing Bryant Street to Second Street on Wednesday morning.
According to the San Francisco Fire Department, the accident occurred when the driver of the truck, owned by the Ruezga Hauling company, turned onto Second Street from Bryant Street as the woman was in the Second Street crosswalk. Both the driver and the pedestrian had green lights at the time of the crash.
The Rueda Hauling truck driver cooperated with police and remained on the scene. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for treatment of critical injuries.
The San Francisco Police Department told KTVU News that the intersection is especially dangerous and that they sometimes must send officers to the area to monitor the flow of traffic.
