San Francisco, CA – Mother and Baby Hit By Car Near Clarendon Ave and Dellbrook Ave

San Francisco, CA (April 27, 2019) – A mother and baby struck by a vehicle when walking in a crosswalk and were hospitalized Friday morning.

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this injury accident. According to CHP officers, two cars moving in opposite directions crashed in the area of Clarendon Avenue and Dellbrook Avenue right before 10 a.m.

One of those vehicles was a Red Cross van that was waiting to make a left turn on Johnstone as the mother was pushing her child in a stroller in the crosswalk at the intersection.

The other car was driven by Miles Dittman on Clarendon Avenue.

The Red Cross van stopped at the turn and Dittman moved forward because the van stopped and it was his right of way. The van turned once it was too late and Dittman tried to swerve out of the way but the impact pushed the car into a collision with the mother and child.

Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid. The mother and child were transported to the hospital and are in stable condition.
