National City, CA – One Injured in Pedestrian Accident on I-5 Near Hwy 54

National City, CA (April 28, 2019) – An accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian occurred on April 25 that injured one person.

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this injury accident.  According to CHP officers, the crash occurred just before midnight on April 25 on the 5 Freeway near Highway 54.

A Nissan Sentra hit the pedestrian and the victim suffered severe injuries. Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid.  The injured party was transported to local hospitals for treatment and further evaluation.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
