Phelan, CA- Pedestrian Killed In Crash on Phelan Rd. Near Baldy Mesa Rd.
Phelan, CA (May 3, 2019)- Officials reported a fatal pedestrian crash on Thursday at approximately 9 pm on Phelan Road near Baldy Mesa Road.
Reports stated that a blue 2016 Toyota Scion iM hit a female pedestrian about a half-mile west of Baldy Mesa Road on Phelan Road.
The pedestrian was found in the roadway after sustaining major injuries. Despite medical attention by first responders, she soon passed away. Her name has not been released pending family notification.
The Scion driver pulled over following the crash, as required by law.
An initial investigation into the crash required the closure of Phelan Road in both directions.
The investigation is ongoing.
