Madera, CA – Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on North D St

Madera, CA (May 13, 2019) On the morning of May 12^th, a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened near North D Street and East Cleveland Avenue. A vehicle struck a male pedestrian near George Washington Elementary School at about 12:30 a.m.

When emergency personnel arrived to assist the pedestrian, they found him lying in the roadway unresponsive. Despite life-reviving methods, the man did not survive his injuries.

The vehicle that struck the man fled the scene without checking to see if he was okay or calling for help.

Authorities are currently searching for the driver responsible.
