Garden Grove, CA – Woman Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Larson Ave
Garden Grove, CA (June 20, 2019) On the afternoon of June 18th, a pedestrian accident happened in the 8000 block of Larson Avenue. A red Toyota Corolla struck a 66-year-old woman who was standing in the back of her vehicle. Upon impact, she was crushed between her car and the Toyota. The accident happened shortly after 5:30 p.m.
When the paramedics arrived, they found her critically injured and rushed her to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange for immediate treatment. She suffered from internal bleeding and had to have her legs amputated.
The driver fled the scene after striking the woman but crashed into another parked vehicle about 70 feet away. The police caught and arrested the driver for being under the influence. He has been identified as 35-year-old Andres Ramon Salas.
