Chico, CA – Skateboarder Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident on Bidwell Ave

Chico, CA (June 24, 2019) On the morning of June 23rd, a hit-and-run accident happened at the intersection of Bidwell Avenue and West Sacramento Avenue. A skateboarder was traveling eastbound on West Sacramento Avenue when a silver or gray sedan stuck him. The impact of the crash threw the rider to the west side of the street. Fortunately, the rider landed in a green area that provided a little cushion and reduced his injury. The accident happened at around 7:20 a.m.

When the paramedics arrived at the scene, they found the rider suffering from injuries and immediately tended to him. They then took him to the nearest hospital available for further treatment.

Sadly, the driver did not remain at the scene to render aid or wait for authorities to arrive.

The California Highway Patrol is currently searching for the driver responsible.
